Pediatric Echocardiography

The Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) examination tests basic pediatric echocardiography knowledge and skills essential to Sonography Professionals.

Fetal Echocardiography

Fetal echocardiography is the name of the test used to diagnose cardiac conditions in the fetal stage. Cardiac defects are amongst the most common birth defects. Their diagnosis is important in the fetal stage as it might help provide an opportunity to plan and manage the baby as and when the baby is born.

Contrast Echocardiography

Contrast echocardiography is a technique for improving echocardiographic resolution and providing real time assessment of intracardiac blood flow. Agitated saline contrast provides contrast in the right heart and enables detection of right to left shunts.

Counseling for antenatally detected CHD

Ultrasound-based screening is widely employed for the detection of congenital malformations in utero including congenital heart disease (CHD), but there is widespread variability in the efficacy of screening programs.

ECG

The electrocardiogram is a diagnostic tool that is routinely used to assess the electrical and muscular functions of the heart. While it is a relatively simple test to perform, the interpretation of the ECG tracing requires significant amounts of training.
